W. Allen Oaks, MD

W. Allen Oaks, MD is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. Oaks attended Birmingham-Southern College for his undergraduate education before continuing on to Medical School at the Medical College of Alabama. Dr. Oaks joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Tachikawa, Japan where he served as Major in the Medical Corps from 1967 to 1971. Once fulfilling his military obligations, Dr. Oaks completed his Radiology Residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. He is Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Dr. Oaks began the first MRI facility on the Gulf Coast and is currently a Physician Advisor for the Alabama Foundation for Health Care, MRI Review Panel and is also a Radiologist with Mobile Open MRI. He began practicing with Mobile Molecular Imaging in 2005.
